About the Summit

The Regional Stakeholders Summit on Local Governance and Rural Development is organized by the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Logistics to bring together community/rural development organizations, local Governments, and other developmental stakeholders cutting across diverse interests to engage in thought-provoking dialogues and explore logistics dimensions to optimizing local governance and advancing rural development initiatives.

Nigerian Leadership Awards on Grassroots Development.

The National Award recognizes outstanding efforts of individuals and organizations in promoting inclusive and sustainable development at the grassroots, thereby improving the lives of the citizenry. It focuses on the areas of basic education, rural water supply, primary healthcare, rural electrification, infrastructures, agriculture and economic development

Promote inclusiveness through closer cooperation and partnerships between the Federal, States, and Local governments in developing rural areas/communities and eradicating poverty in the country
