The Regional Stakeholders Summit on Local Governance and Rural Development is organised by the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Logistics to bring together community/rural development organisations, local Governments and other developmental stakeholders cutting across diverse interests to engage in thought-provoking dialogues and explore logistics dimensions to optimizing local governance and advancing rural development initiatives as it relates to Agriculture, Access to Basic Education, Security, Infrastructures, Water resources, Electricity and Primary Health.

This is geared towards harmonizing community oriented development road map in the region as well as improving institutional capacity to drive Local Economic Development under the National Framework Action Plan on Rural Development and Poverty Eradication

Promote inclusiveness through closer cooperation and partnerships between the Federal, State, and Local governments in developing rural areas/communities and eradicating poverty in the country.
